Reid Ewing plays Dylan Stardust Marshall, the only character to appear in every season of the TV series even though he is not a family member. Despite being rather dim, he’s sweet and kind to everyone, and he has been very loving toward Haley even though she doesn’t always treat him well. While Claire never considers Dylan good enough for her daughter, Haley, Phil is quite fond of him and sees his own relationship with his wife in Dylan and Haley’s relationship. Dylan wrote and sang a catchy yet controversial song for Haley called “In the Moonlight (Do Me).”

Before Modern Family, Ewing performed in stage plays as a student and became active in theater in South Florida. Aside from acting, he’s also a talented musician, writing songs for fun and playing the guitar, banjo, and piano.
