Dogs can make all sorts of sounds while they are sleeping. A lot of them are actually sounds you’d never hear them make when awake. These include whines, whimpers, and growls, usually accompanied by twitching and even kicking, which makes you wonder what they’re dreaming of. But is that really the case? Do dogs dream? If you observe them, it wouldn’t surprise you as they exhibit behaviors people do when they sleep. You can see their eyelids twitching rapidly, which is known as rapid eye movement. It is even said that smaller dog breeds dream more frequently than their larger counterparts, with puppies or older dogs more likely to dream than the middle-aged ones.
