Our canine friends love drinking from the toilet. Well, at least those tall or big enough to reach it. Why do they like drinking from it so much? It’s because the water in the toilet, assuming that it’s freshly flushed, of course, stays cooler than the water we put in their bowls, the constant flushing keeps the water fresh and oxygenated, and the taste of the water is not affected by the porcelain, unlike steel or plastic bowls. In addition, water in their bowls are likely to get stagnant, as owners don’t necessarily change it every so often, especially if it’s untouched. Another reason may be because it is said to be grounded, in that the plumbing shields the water from the electrostatic vibe of lightning and thunder, which many dogs are afraid of.
