Turning In Circles Before Lying Down

Dogs can be a bit obsessive-compulsive or fussy before they lie down to sleep. This is a natural behavior among our canine friends, and this trait is something that can be traced back to when dogs were still living in the wild and they had to make sure that what they’ll be sleeping on is safe and free from other creatures like snakes or large insects. It’s also a territorial move as the area that they have trampled or flattened will be easily recognizable to other animals. When it comes to our pets who sleep inside the house, it would mostly be for comfort, as they know that they are secure. They simply want their beds just so before they turn in so you may even see them give their bed or the carpet a few scratches for good measure.
