Humping People, Objects, Or Other Animals

triwnews

Humping is a common behavior seen in dogs, whether male or female. They either hump other dogs, people (especially the legs), objects, or other animals. The most common reason, especially for teenage dogs, is an excess of hormones that give them a huge desire for sex. Some have debunked the thinking that it is a sign of showing dominance, and I personally haven’t seen our dog, who is certainly the alpha in the pack, hump people or other dogs, except when to get it on. Other dogs may hump due to excitement, anxiety, comfort or for relieving stress, and of course, for play, as they hump objects like pillows or toys.
