Don’t Flush The Toilet Paper In The Toilet

Almost everywhere you go in the country, whether it’s in restaurants, gas stations, homes, or even in most hotels, you’ll no doubt find signs or reminders to not throw or flush the toilet paper in the toilets. This is because Peruvian plumbing are not that efficient and stuffing these in can clog them up, risking overflow. There might have been some improvement over the years, but better to play it safe.  Instead, buckets or bins are placed in restrooms so you can dispose of them in there.  Speaking of which, it is also advisable to bring extra toilet paper as restrooms tend to run out of this quite often.
