Don’t Forget Basic Security Measures

As always, when you are in a foreign country, don’t let your guard down too easily and be too quick in trusting strangers, especially those that seem too eager to help or offer assistance. There will always be people that are really friendly as they appreciate tourists and the business they bring with them but just like any other place, there will also be those who are looking to take advantage of unsuspecting people.  Not to the point of being rude, but don’t ignore your instincts. When riding a taxi, for example, make sure your luggage is locked in the trunk of the car, and if possible, place smaller bags or purses on the floor of the car, keeping them out of reach of thieves who might try to snatch it while you’re stuck in traffic.
