Don’t Walk Around With Large Bills

Don’t forget to always have cash on hand but don’t walk around carrying large bills not just for security, but for practicality as well.  Unless you plan to dine exclusively on expensive restaurants, it will be hard for other small businesses or enterprises to break the large bills, which can cause inconvenience for you and the establishment.  Having smaller denominations will allow you to buy souvenirs from small shops or eat snacks from street vendors, and it can also be used to tip porters or guides.  In addition, it would be quite awkward to haggle with prices in the markets if you obviously can afford to pay for the items.
