Don’t Be Timid But Don’t Buy Drugs Either

If you want service, be it in a small shop or store, or a restaurant, don’t be timid and wait for the shopkeeper or waiter to notice you as you’ll only waste an unnecessary amount of time. Speak up and ask for service in a firm manner so you can catch their attention. Remember that in Peru, lines are almost non-existent and queuing is not a practice. However, don’t be so emboldened to buy illegal drugs even if the drug laws in the country are quite lenient compared to other countries. Even if possession of small quantities is not punishable by law, it’s often not worth the risk. You never know how the local police will interpret their laws.
