Don’t Take Protection Concerning Sex Lightly

For the adventurous who are looking to engage in sex with people that they don’t really know, don’t take having unprotected sex lightly as you might get more than you bargained for. According to UNAIDS, Ukraine has 360,000 people living with HIV as of 2018, making it the second-largest HIV epidemic in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. While men were the most affected when the epidemic began because of injecting drugs, sexual transmission has been the main driver since 2008, with over 70% of the transmission due to sex. This is very alarming because it is spreading fast, and according to the report, only a little above 20% of men and women between the ages of 15 and 24 are knowledgeable in preventing its sexual transmission.
