Avoid Showing Too Much Skin At Places Of Worship

Source: https://www.visitkievukraine.com

The predominant religion in Ukraine is Orthodox Christianity, which is practiced by about three-quarters of the population, followed by Catholicism. Since the country has some of the most beautiful cathedrals in Europe, such as the Uspenski Cathedral and St. Sophia’s Cathedral in Kyiv and St. George’s Cathedral in Lviv, for example, you will doubtless find yourself admiring these places of worship. However, don’t wear clothes that will bare too much skin when visiting these places so you won’t appear rude or disrespectful. Women should dress modestly, and avoid wearing tops that expose the shoulders, wear bottoms that would at least cover the knees, and cover their heads with a shawl or scarf. Meanwhile, men would need to take off their hats before entering and avoid wearing shorts.
