Don’t Be A Stalker In The Dead Zone

The Chernobyl nuclear incident is considered the worst man-made disaster in history, and though the explosion may have directly claimed less than a hundred lives, the ensuing radiation may well have affected hundreds of thousands, especially the liquidators who were tasked with containing the situation. That was over 30 years ago and now, the site has been opened for the public, becoming a tourist attraction. Guided tours are considered safe but there are also those who call themselves “stalkers” who makes illegal trips to the abandoned city of Pripyat. This is very dangerous not just because of the unknown radioactive levels without the proper equipment, but also due to the unstable structures, hidden pits, and even wild animals that have thrived without the presence of people.
