Don’t Forget To Bring A Gift

When visiting someone in their home, don’t forget to bring a gift or show up empty-handed as it can be embarrassing. You don’t have to spend too much as you only need to present a gift to the host, which can be flowers, chocolates, or wine. Don’t give mirrors, handkerchiefs, or any sharp objects as a token, or if you decide to give a purse or wallet, make sure that you put some money in it beforehand. In the event that you also receive a gift, take note that unlike in the west where you open the gift right then and there, the practice is different here and it is better to open your gift after you leave.
