Don’t Do These When Drinking Alcohol

Drinking alcohol is something that is associated with Ukrainian social life, if not culture or tradition. The drink of choice is usually vodka, followed by cognac, but beer has also gained a lot of popularity recently. As such, you will no doubt find yourself in an occasion where there will be some, or a lot, of drinking. Don’t refuse a drink in certain occasions as it is considered rude, especially at a funeral banquet. Toasting is a tradition so don’t forget to prepare a toast when your turn comes. When toasting, never toast in honor of those who have died, never let your glass touch the table until the toast is done, and make sure that your glass remains on the table when it is being filled. Don’t leave empty bottles on the table and open bottles must be finished.
