These “Hot Dogs” are a popular pet among dog lovers. They have a cute and non-threatening appearance, but don’t let that fool you. Unknown by most, they have a powerful bite at 305 PSI, and they like to bite and may even snap at their owner. In a 2008 study by animal behavioral scientists at the University of Pennsylvania, Dachshunds were identified as the most aggressive breed toward strangers and the second most aggressive breed toward their owners. They were also found to be among the most aggressive toward other dogs. Like their fellow “small but terrible” chihuahuas, Dachshunds also display the “small dog syndrome.”
