What should have been a celebration of life turned into tragedy when a pastor performing water baptism rites was killed by a crocodile in southern Ethiopia. Pastor Docho Eshete was baptizing several members of his congregation at Lake Abaya, which is known to have a huge population of crocodiles, when one of the reptiles suddenly emerged from the water and grabbed him, causing injuries to his back, legs, and arms, injuries which he would later succumb to.
