Roy Horn was one-half of the popular Siegfried & Roy entertainment act who was attacked and bitten on the neck by one of their tigers during a performance at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in March 2002. The 600lb white Bengal tiger, named Mantecore, sank its teeth on Roy’s neck and dragged him in front of the shocked audience, severing an artery in his brain in the process. Although the magician survived the attack, he sustained a serious enough injury that left him partially paralyzed.
