Darla Napora, a member of the Bay Area Dog Lovers Responsible About Pit Bulls, was killed by the very animal whose reputation she was trying to defend. The 32-year old, who was also pregnant at the time of the incident, was found dead by her husband, Greg, with their rescued dog, Gunner, standing over the body soaked in blood. Napora was reported to have suffered several bites and trauma to her upper body. The dog, which was killed after approaching emergency services, had its ashes buried with Darla’s remains.
