Andrew Oberle, who had a passion for observing chimpanzee behavior, fell victim to a chimpanzee attack that left him with serious injuries. During a research trip to the Jane Goodall Institute in Johannesburg, South Africa, Andrew got too close for comfort to the chimps which bit and dragged him for about half a mile. The attack left him needing over 20 surgeries to repair the damage to his arms, feet, ears, and nose.
