Surinder Singh Bajwa

Surinder Singh Bajwa was a victim of an attack by a large group of rhesus macaques monkeys at his home in October 20, 2007. Bajwa, who was the deputy mayor of Delhi, was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was just elected as councilor for the Anand Vihar ward in April of that year. The attack caused him to fall from the second-floor balcony of his home, which led to massive head injuries that claimed his life the following day.
