They say you should “try and try until you succeed.” Well, Subaru tried once more to enter the pickup market with the 2002 Baja. But it really did not succeed. The compact pickup was designed for the adventure seekers, but it failed to impress the working people. While it was praised upon its release, only a few customers were impressed. From 2002 until 2006, the Baja tried to keep its head above water. But it finally came to its end. It is now remembered as a souped-up buggy so desperately wanting to be a pickup truck. Some aspirations are never achieved.
