Why The Chevy Avalanche Was Discontinued By GM

Chevy Avalanche owners were puzzled by the sudden discontinuation of the truck in 2012. It was loved by owners all across the US. Many praised it as the perfect truck (though nothing is perfect). It did have its share of problems, like speedometer malfunctions which confused owners why they were pulled over for speeding. It also had excessive oil consumption, and some transmission failures. But it was loved and praised just the same. Many believe the discontinuation was also caused by low sales volume (it was pitiful compared to the sales of the Silverado. But it was also due to GM’s labor problems and its bankruptcy in 2009. But good news for the Avalanche loyalists, it is making a comeback this year. Surely with massive changes to make it a winner.
