The Problematic 1997 Ford Ranger

If possible, Ford would rather forget the 1997 Ranger pickup truck. Unfortunately, those who purchased it will not forget the problems it came with. Although Ford had a reputation for making some of the best trucks, this version had one of the worst transmissions ever. Some of the problems included: gear slipping, delayed gear shift response, upshifting failure, solenoid failure, loss of gears – particularly reverse gear. Can you imagine driving this monstrosity? Hopefully you are not one of those who found out for themselves what a lemon this pickup truck was.
