Lada Niva

The 1980s saw the production of the Russian car owned by the French Groupe Renault. The Lada Niva seems more like a tank than a car, it’s made of steel so thick, even a hammer won’t dent it. But, the engine wasn’t powerful enough to handle the weight. While they were affordable, they were not reliable, at least not to the standards most of us agree upon. Still, these cars were used by police forces across Europe, probably due to it being dirt cheap, and practically indestructible (if you bump another vehicle). But to be fair, later versions seemed to improve a lot. Current models are the Vesta, Granda, and Xray Cross. So, not all bad cars remain lemons after all.
