Cadillac Cimarron

The name Cadillac basically translates to luxury, but there have been lemons as well. The Cimarron could have ruined the name of Cadillac for good. It remains their biggest shame. The car was just wrong, with horrible handling. The company could have been spooked by the success of premium small cars in the early 1980s by Mercedes-Benz. GM decided to rebadge its awful, mass-market J-platform sedans, load them up with chintzy fabrics and accessories, and call them Cimarron, by Cadillac. They soon regretted it though. It nearly killed the Cadillac brand. Those who remember the car will surely testify that not all that glitters is gold.
