The last known data on Oxana was that she was trying to lead a normal life at an adult therapeutic community. It is located on a farm in Odessa, Ukraine, and Oxana tends to cows and helps with chores. Feral children are rare, and not many get to live normal lives. Some are so entrenched in their “animal” lives, that becoming human once again is not a possibility. Feral children have been called the “forbidden experiment.” It is difficult to imagine a vulnerable child being raised by animals, wild or domesticated, and not only surviving, but forgetting their human traits. Science is fascinated about such phenomenon, but it does sound like a forbidden experiment really, and a case of child abuse.
