Sip Alcohol

Looking back on our family photos, a lot of us notice that there is a peculiar number of photos showing us drinking alcohol. Even stranger is the fact that our parents seem to be the one allowing us to do so. Some researchers came to the conclusion that child sipping of adults’ drinks can occur with little parental thought or concern about possible consequences — just a harmless sip of beer at a barbecue, for example. Another conclusion is that parents may purposefully introduce children to alcohol because they believe that allowing early sips will help create a positive attitude towards drinking alcohol. However, it is rare to see kids these days take a sip from their parents’ glasses without their parents being seriously upbraided by “concerned parents and friends” for negligence.
