Have Lunch Off Campus

Having lunch off campus when we were growing up wasn’t particularly a big deal. It meant that you could have a hot, nutritious lunch at home without having to spend on school lunches, and that your house was probably nearby. Kids nowadays are not allowed to leave campus unless it is dismissal and are discouraged from going home from lunch because administrators believe that they will not come back for the second half of the school day. While this is sound logic and reasoning, something can be said about going home for lunch — you get to spend a little time away from school during the day to decompress. This is a highly underestimated perk of eating lunches at home if your family is able to provide them.
