Unless for emergencies, disturbing someone by phoning them late at night is a disturbance of their organized plans for the evening. Calls after 8 pm are frowned upon, and on Saturdays, do not call between 6pm to 7pm, when the German sports news is on. Respect their traditions, as well as their privacy.
