Ukraine, particularly the Eastern region of Donetsk and Luhansk oblast, and Crimea, has been embroiled in a conflict with Russia since 2014 and is considered the most dangerous part of the country. The conflict has already claimed over 10,000 lives and with the incident in the Kerch Strait, a martial law was decreed in November of 2018 in fear of a Russian invasion. As such, public demonstrations take place with regularity.
