Up to 378 stores of RTW Retailwinds

RTW Retailwinds, which owns wear-to-work retailer for women, New York & Co., filed for bankruptcy in July, following the steady retail additions of Chapter 11 filings of brands that were once staples at malls. They said they planned to close most, “if not all,” of their locations. At the time of their declared bankruptcy, the company had 378 stores nationwide. With the abrupt shift of working from home because of the pandemic that has rocked the world, purchasing clothes appropriate for the office has taken a plunge and fallen out of fashion, jeopardizing the future of all retailers that sell office wear.
