After the 2019 holiday season ended, Forever 21 announced that they would be closing 350 stores across the globe, with 178 locations in the US alone. The fast-fashion retailer’s overnight international expansion had a negative impact of the company which forced Forever 21’s decision to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last September. The company filings stated that many closures would happen in the first quarter of 2020. Back then, the retailer had over 800 stores located worldwide.
