The Lucky’s Market regional grocery chain closed most of its stores and laid off 2,500 employees earlier this February. They also filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This American supermarket chain was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2003. The chain focuses mainly on organic food. At its peak in 2019, Lucky’s Market had 39 stores in 10 states. At the end of 2019, the company downsized to just six stores in four states.
