Country star Brad Paisley was born and raised in Glen Dale, West Virginia. His mother was a teacher, and his father worked for the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Paisley’s music career started very early, and he became the youngest member of the Jamboree USA Hall of Fame. He graduated from John Marshall High School and studied at West Liberty State College for 2 years, before heading to Tennessee. But he is a proud native of West Virginia. “ My parents still live here, and a lot of my friends are still here. West Virginia isn’t an easy place to forget. It’s too ideal. It’s a wonderful place to grow up.” Other West Virginians include Steve Harvey, Chris Sarandon, Josh Stewart, and John Corbett.
