Beyonce Knowles was born in Houston, Texas, where she attended St. Mary’s Montessori School and took an interest in dance classes. It was her dance instructor who noticed her singing talent, and she went on to win a school talent show at only 7 years old. Ultimately, after winning several other local talent shows, she made it to Star Search. Beyonce has been known for her hometown catchphrase, “H-Town Vicious,” which she sings in her song “Flawless.” Whenever Houston needs her, she is always ready to help, like assisting with Hurricane Harvey victims. Other big stars from Texas are: Woody Harrelson, Willie Nelson, Usher, Selena Gomez, Mathew McConaughey, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, to name a few.
