Most people from Delaware may not realize that there are quite a few famous celebrities who called the state home. One of them is versatile actor Ryan Philippe. Though he gained fame in the early 1990s, he still is a popular actor today. Born in New Castle, his mother ran a local daycare, and his father was a chemist. He spent his entire childhood in the state of Delaware, graduating from New Castle Chriatian Academy in Wilmington. He was married to Reese Witherspoon from 1999 to 2007. They met at a party for her 21st birthday in 1997, and got engaged the following year. They starred together in the film Cruel Intentions. Others who came from Delaware include Elisabeth Shue, Aubrey Plaza, and John Gallagher, Jr.
