Home of the popular country singer Blake Shelton. Blake was born in Ada, Oklahoma, and was raised there until he turned 17. He then moved to Nashville to pursue a singing career. Well, the rest is history, his career skyrocketed. Yet he still visits his home state, where he owns a ranch in Tishomingo. He continues to be an active member of the community, and even opened up a bar called the Ole Red Bar. Obviously they play country music there. “ I like California, but I’m dyed-in-the-wool Oklahoma,” he said of his Oklahoma pride. He is also known as a coach on The Voice USA, as with John Legend. Others from the state of Oklahoma are Ron Howard, Carrie Underwood, Olivia Munn, and James Marsden, to mention a few.
