New popular actor Matthew Gray Gubler who plays Dr. Spencer Reid in the popular series Criminal Minds, was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. He originally wanted to be a filmmaker, but he graduated from the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, majoring in Visual and Performing Arts because the school didn’t offer a filmmaking program. But he did go on to graduate with a major in film directing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. However, it seemed the acting was more of his calling. Still, should he decide to get into directing full time anytime soon, he is well prepared for the job. He does still have more to achieve as an actor though.
