27. World’s Most Expensive Bottle of Water Sold at Auction – $60,000
Although this looks more like a sculpture than it does a bottle of water, it’s actually a 24-carat gold glass water bottle that happens to display the artwork of Amadeo Clemente Modigliani. It was created for an auction that was organized by the Planet Foundation A.C. in 2004 for an incredible $60,000. At least the money was used for donation to the foundation in order to help fight the effects of global warming. And the chances that this is sitting on someone’s mantel piece rather than used as an actual water bottle.
