3. World’s Most Expensive Sushi – almost $2,000

Sushi is a delicacy that has been enjoyed for centuries, and these days, making it has become an artform. One Filipino chef, Angelito Araneta Jr., who hails from the Philippines, created a Nigiri sushi back in 2012 that actually used 24-carat gold leaf, which he then garnished every piece with a 0.25-carat diamond and three Mikimoto pearls. And while most believe that they are not meant for consumption, the entire plate is actually edible, down to the gold! According to the chef, the final price of this particular creation was $1,978. And with such a crazy price, we have to hope that the entire experience was deemed priceless.
