If you’re one who loves cooking, you’re probably aware of how stubborn tomato stains are on clothing. Tomatoes contain tannins that stain fabrics easily. Combined with oil, an ingredient commonly used in the kitchen, these tannins become virtually waterproof, making them more difficult to remove. Not only are tomato stains eyesores, they also tend to stink, especially if they’re allowed to sit for a while. 

Thankfully, WD-40 is effective in removing these difficult stains. All you need to do is spray on some WD-40 onto the stained area, allow it to soak through and wash the item as you normally would.
