For retirees living in Minnesota, making ends meet can be quite hard, no-thanks to the relatively-high living costs the state has. To make things worse, residents, especially seniors, live on incomes falling below the national average. Buying stuff in Minnesota is also expensive because the state also charges taxes on purchases. What makes it even worse is the weather, which can be bitterly cold, particularly in the winter.
