Enormous Dust Storms Sweeping Across Central New South Wales

Thunderstorms bringing heavy rain may have brought some relief, helping to extinguish several fires, and breathing hope for the residents, but it has also brought flooding, golf-sized hails, and now, the strong winds that were produced by these thunderstorms have brought up dust storms so thick that it has turned daytime into night in some towns that it has swept over, including the town of Narromine, whose residents had been looking forward to getting much need rain. Instead, it was blanketed in a coat of red dust. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, gusts of 107 kph were also recorded in the evening in the town of Dubbo, where the dust storm towered over.
