The Colossal Damage To Livestock And Crops

Source: https://pics.me.me

An estimated 100,000 livestock have been wiped out by the bushfires according to the National Farmers’ Federation but the full extent of the losses won’t be known for months, at the very least, as it was reported that around 8.6 million sheep and 2.3 million cattle live in the areas affected by the wildfires across the state of New South Wales and Victoria. It has been confirmed that defense personnel will assist in digging the pits necessary to bury the livestock over the coming days, and with the impact of these losses to the already weakening economy, farmers who have lost stock are expected to become top priority, even as the government is addressing the fires and facing costs of at least hundreds of millions to repair bridges, roads, and other vital infrastructure.
