People who have lost their homes would understandably want them to be rebuilt in the soonest possible time, with the premier of Victoria and New South Wales, the two hardest-hit states, promising to rebuild the communities that were devastated by releasing significant funds. However, some experts have warned against rebuilding in some areas and has even called for the state governments to buy back the land from the people in the most bushfire-prone areas to prevent this from happening in the future. Public facilities like schools, roads, boundaries, and the like should also be considered to be relocated to areas that are less prone and be easily defended against fires.
