The Australian government may have been criticized for its policies concerning climate change, but it has also acted decisively, establishing the National Bushfire Recovery Agency, which is tasked with leading and coordinating a national response to help rebuild the communities that were affected by the wildfires across the country. It will oversee the initial $2 billion that was invested, prioritizing the giving out of grants for recovery needs, support for small businesses, grants for affected local government areas, mental health package for the first responders and for the communities, support to attract the tourists back, as well as for the environment and wildlife.
