The country may have been experiencing heavy rains brought about by storms, but the bushfire crisis is still far from over. Some areas, like Canberra and Melbourne, are actually being pelted by hail the size of golf balls, mixing relief with concern. Flooding has also been a side effect of the recent storms, while strong winds have generated dust clouds. With storms being forecasted for areas that have been heavily hit by the bushfires, the country hopes to further contain the fires that are still blazing as the fire season is still in full swing, with the worst fire conditions actually expected to occur in the first weeks of February, especially in Victoria, one of the hardest-hit states.
