Photos of and with pets are a favorite, and this Italian actress’s picture with a curious fawn is simply adorable. Incidentally, the high-profile European actress, Luigina Lollobrigida, won six Bambi Awards, awards presented to artists to recognize their excellence in international media and television, in the course of her career.

Gina Lollobrigida was an international sex symbol in the 1950s and 1960s. She played Queen of Sheba in the American epic film, Solomon and Sheba, as well as The Fairy with Turquoise Hair in the critically acclaimed Italian five-part miniseries, The Adventures of Pinocchio. As her film and television career slowed down, she embarked on a second successful career as a photojournalist, managing to obtain an exclusive interview with the Cuban communist revolutionary and politician, Fidel Castro. She also published collections of photographs, one across Italy and another around the Philippines.
