Hair Care Was Questionable

Considering that clean water was scarce, and the soap-weed didn’t exactly do what it was supposed to, it was not surprising that hair-grooming and hair care was questionable as well. In fact, people didn’t really bother to wash their hair too much in the first place. But when they did, they took some unused whiskey – which wasn’t much – and mixed it with some castor oil in order to “shampoo” their hair. Obviously it didn’t really do the trick, but for some reason they kept trying to make it work. Hopefully they didn’t try to drink it too.
