Wikipedia

Served as the US 26th President, and was also an adventurer, naturalist, author, historian, and soldier with the famous “rough riders.” He was known for his exuberant personality, robust masculinity, and “cowboy” persona. Roosevelt assumed the presidency after McKinley’s assassination, at the age of only 42. Teddy Roosevelt used the phrase “speak softly, and carry a big stick,” to describe his foreign policy. His foreign policy was focused on Central America, where he began the construction of the Panama Canal. He expanded the Navy, and sent The Great White Fleet on a world tour to show-off superior naval power around the globe. He was succeeded by his protege, William Howard Taft.
